Java == Poo # => true?

At Tim Bray’s RailsConf keynote, he said, “Java is a 3-legged stool.” Does that mean Java is a pile of crap with three legs? I’m not sure. I’m pretty sure it’s not what he meant, but I bet some people might agree or think it has even more legs.

    I don’t know anything about Java, except maybe that I don’t know anything about Java.

    However, three legged stools are very sturdy and will sit level on any surface, unlike a four legged stool, which needs a nice level and steady surface or it will wobble.
